Shakyamuni (or Akshobhya) Buddha.

历史上的释迦牟尼佛（Shakyamuni，意为“狮子族的圣人”） 大约在公元前480年至前400年间于印度北部生活并说法。坐姿释迦牟尼像的典型特征是：左手托钵，右手向下结触地印，标志着证悟的那一刻。到了14世纪，西藏西部的工匠开始吸收西藏中部更为写实的风格元素。这些写实元素最终源自印度帕拉时期——直至12世纪，西藏人仍前往印度朝圣并在其伟大的佛教大学求学——具体特征包括：卷曲的上眼睑、尖锐的下巴，以及柔缓起伏的腹部。
